About us

CTC Cambridge (Cambridge Cyclists' Touring Club) is a member group of CTC, the UK's National Cycling Organisation.

CTC was founded in 1878. Our Cambridge group was formed in 1921, and has been assembling for rides at Brookside since 1921.

What we do

We organise four or five cycle rides a week throughout the year. Newcomers are welcome on all our rides.

Our main rides take place on Sundays: all-day (60-80 miles) and afternoon only (30-45 miles), depending on the time of year. We also have shorter Saturday morning rides (about 15-20 miles), at a slower rate than the Sunday rides. We also hold rides during the week. On Tuesdays our senior cyclists' group rides at a gentle pace to a pub for lunch and back (30-40 miles). On Wednesdays in the summer we we have short evening rides. Our Thursday rides are all-day but rather shorter than on Sundays (50-60 miles).
